Grinding of feed materials

Comminution is one of the most common pretreatment methods in feed processing. Its purpose is to make large particles (blocks) of raw materials into small particles, powder, easy digestion and absorption of animals. According to the particle size of the material after grinding, grinding can be roughly divided into coarse grinding, fine grinding, fine grinding and ultra-micro grinding.
1. Crushing principle and process
Crushing is through the action of mechanical force will be large particles of material into small particles, powder, common crushing force extrusion, impact, shear, friction, splitting, bending and so on.

Impact friction Split impact/friction
According to the effect of material and crushing machinery, the material in the grinding process is mainly crushed into small particles in three forms: (1) the effect of crushing working medium on the material (impact column/hammer/blade on the material); (2) the effect of moving material on the working quality (material impact ring/gear plate/screen plate); (3) the action between moving materials (the main action form in the jet flow mill).
2. Evaluation of crushing effect -- crushing size
Our common expressions "coarse crushing", "moderate crushing", "fine crushing" and "micro crushing" are not sufficient to describe the specific particle size of crushing, the "fine crushing" of one kind of crusher may be the "coarse crushing" of another kind of crusher. Other vague expressions are: Suckling pig feed corn particle size is φ1.0mm sieve - process description, there is a difference in crushing models; The best grain size for aquatic material is 40-80 mesh - what is the pass rate?
